Parkinson’s disease (PD), a progressive disorder of the nervous system with both motor and non-motor symptoms, currently affects one million people in the United States, with 50,000-60,000 new cases diagnosed each year. Although no cure exists for PD, various medications, surgeries, and physical therapies can help improve symptoms and reduce the disease’s progression.
CM-PK may be able to affect dopamine levels in PD patients while also improving postural instability and reducing falls.
