Parkinson’s disease (PD), a progressive disorder of the nervous system with both motor and non-motor symptoms, currently affects one million people in the United States, with 50,000-60,000 new cases diagnosed each year. Although no cure exists for PD, various medications, surgeries, and physical therapies can help improve symptoms and reduce the disease’s progression.
Our drug candidate, CM-PK, may be able to affect dopamine levels in PD patients while also improving postural instability and reducing falls.
